Arthrosis

Arthrosis is characterised as a degenerative illness which is affecting the joints and the deficit of the cartilage inside them. The main problem is the missing hyaluronic acid and the impossibility of its production in enough quantities. This hyaluronic acid acts as a lubricant between the joints structures, anti-inflammatory and is distributing nutritients for the cartilage. The healthy cartilage must be elastic and thick as a consistence.артроза

With aging the hyaluronic acid is decreasing, the cartilage is getting thinner and dehydrated and can not function normally. This leads to transformation in the joints surfaces, the friction is increasing and therefore the pain and the inflammation come.

There is a big difference between arthritis and arthrosis. Arthritis can affect some internal organs (rheumatoid arthritis) also there is pain, hyperemia and swelling. The common signs between those two are pain and stiffness.

The risky factors for the appearing of those morbids are:

  • age
  • gender ( the women are three times more affected )
  • inheritage
  • traumatic injuries
  • inhabit illness of the muscle-skeletal system
  • continuous immobility

With physiotherapy the patients could decrease their pain, welling and hyperaemia in the joints, improve the mobility in the joints, return back to the normal activities from the daily routine, return back to sports activities.
